Persona

About

About Persona

Persona is Persona AI's industrial humanoid platform for skilled tool use in shipyards, fabrication shops and other heavy-industry sites. Its modular design is intended to work with standard industrial tools in spaces built for people. Welding is an initial focus, with inspection, maintenance and fabrication among the wider target applications.

During welding tests at ARC Specialties in Houston, the robot squatted, made a weld and stood up without a gantry or tether. A remote operator supplied task judgment through motion capture and an XR interface, while onboard control maintained balance, footing and locomotion. These sessions also collect expert demonstrations for training more autonomous task execution. Persona is working with shipbuilding and steel-industry partners on prototypes and field programmes, combining supervised industrial work with continued development of robot autonomy.
