About RB-ARES

RB-ARES is Robotnik’s autonomous pallet-truck research platform developed for the HR-RECYCLER electronics-recycling project. The design moves loaded Euro pallets from receiving areas to processing stations, with a stated carrying capacity of up to 1, 500 kg. Its project role is internal material transport in a factory shared with people.

The platform combines ROS navigation and localisation with Robotnik’s human-machine interface and fleet-management tools. Its released software includes a steered-base controller, elevator control, AMCL localisation and perception components. The development packages also provide the robot description and configurations for simulation. This was a project-specific system built around the handling and routing requirements of an electronics-recycling plant.
