RFT Series

Robotous RFT sensors measure structural deformation through changes in capacitance, producing force and torque readings across six axes. Signal processing is embedded in the sensor, so the unit delivers measurements directly through its configured communications interface. Mechanical overload protection is built into the sensing structure.

The family offers different mechanical formats for integration into robot wrists and tooling. Hollow-core versions leave a passage through the sensor, while other models provide dust sealing or temperature compensation. These options address different installation requirements without changing the underlying measurement principle. An external EtherCAT interface board is also available for connecting suitable RFT sensors to an industrial control network.
