About SDM Integrated Actuator Series
Changing Tek’s SDM family packages a brushless motor, feedback and drive electronics into compact rotary actuator units. Current CTSDM28-A1, CTSDM35-A1 and CTSDM42-A1 models provide rated low-speed torque of approximately 0.1, 0.16 and 0.4 Nm respectively, with maximum speeds from 2,400 to 3,000 rpm. Modbus RTU and digital I/O provide the higher-level control interface.
A robot or machine builder integrates the actuator into a gripper, rotary fixture, small joint or feeding mechanism and commands speed or position from a PLC or embedded controller. The packaged format reduces the separate motor, driver and wiring work required around compact motion. Changing Tek offers several body sizes and downloadable mechanical models so designers can select around torque, speed and available installation space.
