GEP2010IL-00-B

GEP2010IL-00-B is an electrically driven two-jaw parallel gripper in Zimmer Group's GEP2000 series. It uses IO-Link for control and returns jaw position through process data, allowing a controller to select and monitor gripping behaviour without a separate analogue position channel. The mechanism provides a 10-millimetre stroke per jaw, adjustable gripping force and mechanical self-locking so the jaws retain their position without continuous motor force.

Nominal gripping force is 200 newtons, with selectable levels of 50, 100, 150 and 200 newtons. The 0.31-kilogram unit has a stated control time of 0.03 seconds and repeatability of plus or minus 0.02 millimetres. It operates from 24 volts, draws up to 1 ampere and is rated IP40 for temperatures from 5 to 60 degrees Celsius. ISO Class 2 cleanroom certification broadens its integration scope, although finger geometry, workpiece contact and cell safety remain the system designer's responsibility.
