About A&K Robotics
Cruz pods are designed around seated passenger transport in pedestrian environments rather than freight movement. Cameras, sonar and lidar support localisation and obstacle avoidance, while the vehicle adapts its path and speed around changing foot traffic inside terminals and other public buildings.
CruzMapping creates and maintains the digital environment used for navigation, CruzFleet assigns trips and monitors multiple vehicles, and CruzRemote supports supervision, diagnostics and software updates. Together these tools allow a venue to operate autonomous mobility as a managed service rather than treating each pod as an isolated powered wheelchair.

Wise brought more than two decades of experience taking robotic systems from development into commercial deployment. Her operating background includes Fetch Robotics and Agility Robotics, spanning autonomous mobile robots and legged systems. A&K positioned the appointment as strategic guidance for scaling its global airport-mobility footprint.
Source - 2025-10-29 - Partnership - A&K Robotics and Aena announce five-pod Madrid airport pilot
Madrid-Barajas planned to pilot five Cruz pods as part of Aena's passenger-experience and airport-innovation programme. The pods were intended to provide safe autonomous transport for passengers with reduced mobility in a complex live terminal. The Madrid programme followed A&K's Vancouver rollout and extended the platform into a major European airport network.

The pilot placed Cruz pods around passengers and airport operations rather than in a closed demonstration space. The pods were used to explore accessible terminal transport for travellers with reduced mobility. The Vancouver rollout became the operating reference for later international airport pilots, including Madrid-Barajas.
