About Rollon
Rollon builds the guided-motion hardware that moves a robot between machines, fixtures or sections of a long workpiece. Its transfer-unit range includes aluminium and steel structures, with belt or rack-and-pinion drives selected for the load and travel requirements. Rack-and-pinion versions use joinable sections, allowing an installation’s track length to be extended beyond a single module.
The surrounding mechanical design changes with the operating environment. Covered versions protect drive components from debris, while heavier steel systems support larger arms and loads. For Universal Robots installations, Rollon supplies a packaged transfer unit with URCap software, an electrical cabinet, motor drive and gearbox. Its wider portfolio of guides and actuators also supports the linear and multi-axis movements built into automated handling equipment.

The Rollon Seventh Axis was designed to extend UR cobot reach for machine tending, assembly, pick-and-place and palletizing applications. The demo moved a UR10 on a Sev 220-1 unit and Rollon said variants were planned for UR3 and UR5 cobots.
