• 2026-06-26 - Org Change - HAHN Automation Group restructures around three growth markets and regional operations

  The group organized its market focus around Life Sciences, Mobility and Transformation Technologies. Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific were given more autonomous regional operating structures closer to customers. The plan strengthens Rheinböllen as headquarters and R&D centre while consolidating parts of the German site network.

• 2025-05-26 - Product Launch - HAHN introduces modular automation cell and Digital Solutions portfolio

  The modular standard cell combines an XPlanar transport system with digital twins, virtual commissioning and security-by-design features. The ISO 7-compatible MedTech Validation Cell simulates injection-moulding part removal and downstream processes for syringes, cartridges and autoinjectors. HAHN Digital Solutions introduced Analytics, Vision and Virtual tools for production data, no-code machine vision and virtual engineering.

• 2025-02-24 - Demonstration - HAHN demonstrates two MedTech assembly and inspection cells

  One dual-sided cell combined 13 medical-plastics handling, assembly and test processes in a 420-cubic-foot footprint. The second system used machine vision and robotics for stent inspection, dimensional measurement, placement and orientation. The demonstrations integrated control, robotics, vision and feeding technology from multiple automation suppliers.

  Unterhalt left the co-CEO role effective October 1, 2024 after serving in group leadership since 2019. Frank Konrad continued as sole CEO alongside COO Jörg Kilb and CFO Diego van Muylem. HAHN said Unterhalt had helped expand the group through acquisitions and establish its unified brand.

  HAHN said it had used iPhysics for virtual commissioning since 2018. A dedicated simulation department and digital-twin workflow are embedded in the group's engineering process. The capability supports virtual validation before physical automation systems are commissioned.

  The group presented the unified HAHN Automation Group brand publicly at automatica in Munich. The change brought previously separate operating brands into a single global factory-automation identity.
