About LumiBot
LumiBot develops the mechanical, sensing and intelligence layers required for dexterous manipulation. Lumi-Dex hands use 17 or 23 active degrees of freedom across different configurations, while Lumi-Mod miniature actuators provide the compact motion units inside the fingers. Lumi-Tac visual-tactile sensors observe deformation at the contact surface to estimate force, texture, slip and temperature-related interaction signals.
The company links that hardware with Lumi-Cap demonstration capture and Lumi-Mind manipulation models. Human hand motion and first-person task data are collected, retargeted to the robot and used to train policies for grasping and contact-rich work. During execution, tactile information closes the control loop so the hand can adjust force using both tactile and visual feedback. LumiBot targets precision industrial tasks and humanoid integration through this combined hand, sensor, actuator, data and model architecture.

Lumi-Tac V2 is rated at 10 µm spatial resolution, 0.02 N force detection and 120 frames per second. Lumi-Dex 11 demonstrated a stamp, tray and card manipulation sequence while adapting to human disturbances.
