About Lumi-Dex 11S

Lumi-Dex 11S is the lighter, lower-degree-of-freedom member of LumiBot’s dexterous-hand range. Its 11 controlled joints provide coordinated grasp postures and object reorientation while keeping the hand compact enough for smaller humanoids, research arms and contact-rich manipulation testbeds.

The hand sits within a broader development stack including Lumi-Tac tactile sensing, Lumi-Cap motion capture, Lumi-Mod joints and Lumi-Mind manipulation models. Those layers connect demonstration collection, tactile interaction and deployed control across the wider manipulation stack. LumiBot reported small-batch production beginning in 2026, placing 11S at an early commercial-manufacturing stage.

    2026-07-23 - Funding - LumiBot offers four product lines: Lumi-Dex dexterous hands, Lumi-Tac fingertip visual-tactile sensors, Lumi-Mind manipulation models and Lumi-Mod motor modules. The company said its 11-degree-of-freedom hand has entered small-batch production and sales, while proceeds will support team growth, product iteration, production capacity and manipulation-data research.

  • LumiBot publicly exhibits dexterous-manipulation portfolio

    2026-06-11 - Demonstration - LumiBot presented the Lumi-Dex 11S and 17 dexterous hands as part of the same manipulation portfolio. The exhibit paired its hands with Lumi-Tac tactile sensing and the Lumi-Mod modular hardware layer. Together, the systems showed LumiBot’s hardware stack spanning end effectors, contact sensing and manipulation-development components.
