About Lumi-Mod
Lumi-Mod packages miniature motors and transmissions into actuator modules for dexterous hands and compact manipulation systems. LMWG products combine a coreless brushless motor, planetary reduction and worm gearing in rotary units with maximum diameters from roughly 8 to 13 mm. LMBS modules integrate a coreless motor and ball screw into miniature servo-electric cylinders for linear finger or tendon motion.
LMPG and LMTS variants provide additional rotary and linear arrangements for different torque, speed, package and backdrivability requirements. A hand designer can select a module and build the finger mechanism around its integrated motor and transmission. LumiBot uses the family within its own Lumi-Dex hands while also offering modules to humanoid and end-effector developers.
