About Zivid
Zivid develops industrial colour 3D cameras and software for robot-mounted and fixed machine vision. Zivid cameras generate calibrated colour point clouds for bin picking, assembly, depalletisation, inspection and machine tending. The portfolio combines structured-light hardware with the Zivid SDK, Studio and Motion tooling so integrators can capture moving scenes and plan reliable robot actions from high-quality depth data.
Its current documentation covers product selection, system integration and support for automation integrators, with applications and configuration limits tied to the relevant hardware or software family.

Supero Finish polished a car roof while a Zivid 2+ R-series camera guided scanning. The system reconstructs variable parts before generating safe tool paths for automated surface finishing. Zivid later documented sub-millimeter accuracy, digital-twin monitoring and validation across industrial finishing scenarios.
Source - 2026-03-27 - Demonstration - HELDELE demonstrates single-camera bin picking at LogiMAT
The cell paired a Zivid 2+ MR130 camera with Siemens SIMATIC Robot Pick AI software. The robot identified, picked and placed varied cardboard items from an unstructured bin. The setup showed a production-oriented bin-picking workflow using a single 3D camera rather than a multi-camera vision stack.
Source - 2026-03-24 - Deployment - YK-Robotics deploys sub-15-second translucent-bag bin picking
A six-axis robot carried a Zivid 2+ L110 camera and YK perception, planning and control software. The system handled bags from 1.5 kg to 12 kg and dynamically planned work across as many as eight bins. Average cycle time stayed below 15 seconds while operators changed recipes and container configurations.
