FAA authorizes commercial Heavy Lift drone operations above 55 lb
The FAA granted Draganfly a Section 44807 exemption for commercial operation of its Heavy Lift drone above the standard 55-pound Part 107 limit.

Evidence notes
- The exemption applies to Draganfly Heavy Lift operations exceeding the normal Part 107 weight ceiling.
- It opens heavier-payload missions in defense, industrial and emergency-response applications.
- The authorization is regulatory clearance for commercial operations, not a new aircraft launch.
Company context
Draganfly develops UAV systems, drone services, sensors, software, and custom unmanned-system solutions for public safety, defence, industrial inspection, mapping, agriculture, humanitarian response, and enterprise use. One of the older commercial drone manufacturers with roots in early multirotor systems.
