ZenaDrone completes first IQ Octo agricultural drone prototype

ZenaDrone completed the Version 1 prototype of IQ Octo, an eight-motor autonomous drone designed for precision spraying and seeding.

  • The battery-powered octocopter is designed to carry up to 25 kilograms of liquid or seed and fly for approximately 20 to 25 minutes per charge.
  • Its agricultural configurations use either a liquid tank with spray nozzles or a seed hopper with a spreader along programmed low-altitude flight paths.
  • Field testing at ZenaTech's Arizona facility was expected to begin in the following weeks; solar maintenance, swarm operation and automated refilling remain planned Version 2 features.
