Timeline

Events

  • 2026-09-03 - Funding - Gongzhi Marine raises near-RMB100M angel round for deep-sea robots

The angel round was close to RMB 100 million, the largest recorded in the deep-sea equipment sector. Gongzhi Marine builds a 25 kg biomimetic tethered ROV for shallow work, a tonne-class biomimetic AUV rated to 600 m with 72 hours of endurance, and underwater propulsion including pump-jets, annular propellers and polar ice propellers. The company says it took propulsion-system orders for almost all domestic high ice-class vessels in 2025 and that its deep-sea equipment is moving from engineering prototypes toward commercial batch delivery.
