ROCHU develops compliant tooling around the mechanics of contacting an irregular or fragile item. Its application work includes automotive connector feeding, where thin housings and exposed pins make the distribution of gripping pressure important. Soft fingers adapt around the part, allowing the tooling to be configured for changes in geometry and presentation within a mixed production line.
The company supports tool selection with model search, CAD downloads and a cycle-time estimation function.
