About
About Lenovo
Lenovo operates a global electronics design, supply-chain and manufacturing network spanning personal computing, servers, devices and enterprise infrastructure. Its manufacturing-as-a-service programme makes parts of that network available to outside customers, taking designs through engineering transfer, trial production, quality control and scaled assembly.
Robotics is one application within this diversified manufacturing business. At Lenovo’s Southern Smart Manufacturing Base, public reporting documented humanoids and other robots moving through active MaaS production workflows. Lenovo is therefore tracked as a contract-manufacturing and industrialization partner, not as the owner of every robot assembled at the site.

Events
- 2026-10-16 - Manufacturing - Lenovo expands Shenzhen pilot-production base and adds six manufacturing partners
The MaaS workshop expanded from 4,000 to 11,000 square metres; Lenovo reports fourfold capacity expansion. The first 50 MileBot exoskeleton units were assembled, tested and delivered in under a week after materials were ready. Existing work includes TITA volume production, Daimon tactile-sensor production preparation and Zhejiang Humanoid dexterous-hand manufacturing.
Source - 2026-10-13 - Capability - Bot Auto selects Lenovo AD1 for production driverless trucks
The controller uses dual DRIVE AGX Thor compute domains and dual safety controllers with independent primary and backup power. Bot Auto reports approximately 350 commercial loads per month across Texas and 270% revenue growth between May and August 2026. The expected autonomy hardware bill of materials is approximately $50,000 per truck, including compute and sensors.
Source - 2026-09-23 - Deployment - ST Logistics unveils operating 14-shuttle Clementi AS/RS
ST Logistics has trained 40 of about 100 workers identified for redesigned roles as automation expands. Reported capacity is up to 10,600 pallets, more than 20% above the previous layout, with throughput above 70 pallets per hour versus about 10 previously. ST Logistics invested at least S$10 million and worked with Lenovo on shuttle orchestration software; expansion to other sites is under consideration.
Source - 2026-09-08 - Partnership - Lenovo partners with HL Klemove on vehicle AI compute
HL Klemove will lead global OEM business development and future mass-production work using factories in South Korea, China, India and North America. The program is phased: joint controller development first, then pursuit of OEM orders, then mass production. Lenovo says its automotive computing focus spans Level 4 autonomy and ADAS; no vehicle nomination or production award was announced.
Source - 2026-09-04 - Production Milestone - Lenovo MaaS site shown manufacturing humanoid robots
The MaaS operation moves customer designs through engineering transfer, trial manufacturing and scalable production. Humanoids were observed alongside other robot products on the active manufacturing floor. The report did not identify the humanoid customers or disclose output volumes, so it supports contract-manufacturing activity rather than a Lenovo-owned robot launch.

The companies plan next-generation robot products, including robot dogs, based on the SesameX platform. The work combines Black Sesame chips and algorithms with Lenovo system integration and application deployment capabilities. The programme targets commercialization across manufacturing, power, education and service scenarios.
Source - 2025-07-21 - Product Launch - WeRide and Lenovo launch HPC 3.0 robotaxi compute platform
WeRide said the platform had entered mass production for its Robotaxi GXR fleet. Each HPC 3.0 system uses Lenovo AD1 domain controllers with two NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor chips. The partners reported more than 2,000 TOPS of compute and an ASIL-D-oriented design.
