About Allient

Allient combines motion, control and power technologies across the Allied Motion, Allient Controls and Allient Power groups. Its factories produce brushless, frameless, slotless and axial-flux motors alongside gearboxes, encoders, actuators, servo drives, embedded controllers and power-quality equipment. Customers can buy individual components or commission a tailored subsystem with the motor, feedback, drive and mechanics engineered together.

Robotics applications range from traction and steering for autonomous vehicles to joints for humanoids, cobots, surgical robots and prosthetics. ElectroFlux frameless torque motors target compact, high-torque joints, while low-profile axial-flux designs and Pyxmos servo drives address constrained embedded systems. Precision stages add micron and nanometre positioning for optics, semiconductor and medical equipment. Formerly Allied Motion Technologies, the US-listed group adopted the Allient name in 2023 as its scope expanded beyond motors; it operates 28 locations and manufactures more than six million products annually.

  • 2026-08-05 - Product Launch - Allient launches Vyxalon Apex Drone Drive

    The drive combines gallium-nitride power electronics with high-speed field-oriented control and supports sensorless and encoder-based motor operation. Allient lists field-programmable tuning, multiple communications interfaces, protection and diagnostics, and low-noise, low-vibration operation. The company says the controller will meet NDAA supply-chain requirements and be included in the DCMA Blue UAS Framework and Catalog.

  • 2026-01-14 - Product Launch - Allient Denver announces ThruSight-Theta rotary stage

    ThruSight-Theta uses a motor architecture with a large through hole, low axial height and zero cogging torque. The planned January 20–22 showcase in San Francisco also included open- and closed-centre monolithic XY stages. New granite-based configurations combined XY positioning with a Z-lift stage offering 50 mm travel.

  • 2024-09-18 - Product Launch - Allient launches Electroflux motor series for advanced robotics

    The motor series targets collaborative and surgical robots, exosuits, prosthetics, explosive-ordnance robots and submersible ROVs. Allient specified high torque density and energy efficiency for compact systems with demanding operating cycles. The modular motors were designed for integration across cobots, aerospace mechanisms and harsh-environment robotic platforms.
