About
About Almond
Almond combines two independent seven-axis arms with software for recording demonstrations and training manipulation policies. Axol’s internally routed cabling and wrist-camera connections support a compact hardware arrangement, while the software stack includes a Python SDK, command-line tools, bimanual inverse kinematics and LeRobot bindings.
Its WebXR teleoperation interface streams hand and elbow poses from a compatible headset and includes recording modes for collecting task examples. Almond also offers handheld data-collection grippers that can capture manipulation demonstrations without the robot. Customers can request modifications for mobile bases, lifting columns or other hardware, and the company offers task-specific data collection. The resulting offering spans the physical platform, teleoperation and the training data used to develop bimanual behaviour.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-06-10 - Product Launch - Almond launches Axol dual-arm robot for physical-AI teams
Axol provides 860 mm reach and a 4 kg sustained payload for dual-arm manipulation work. The launch offered a standalone robot and an Axol Kit with cameras and compute. Almond said first customer orders were delivering during launch week and provided an open-source SDK.
Source - 2026-06-08 - Demonstration - Twolabs demonstrates Tobi serving a birthday candle
Tobi lit a birthday candle, carried it to the recipient and served it during the recorded interaction. Twolabs used the scene to test early fine-tuned models trained with human-robot-interaction datasets. The demonstration used a robot embodiment supplied by Almond Robotics rather than presenting a Twolabs-built production body.
