About Carbon Robotics
LaserWeeder is a tractor-mounted implement that identifies plants with 42 high-resolution cameras and directs thirty 150-watt diode lasers at weeds. More than 100 crop models distinguish weeds from crops, while the operator and companion applications display location, activity and agronomic performance data during field work.
The commercial implement spans 20 feet and covers roughly 0.5 to 1.5 acres per hour, firing at more than 5,000 weeds per minute with sub-millimetre targeting. It requires a Category 3 hitch, front PTO generator supply and at least 175 tractor horsepower. Carbon introduced the implement in 2022 and lists more than 100 growers operating it across North America, Europe and Australia.
