About Ekobot
Ekobot's WEAI field robot performs autonomous mechanical weeding for vegetable growers. Cameras capture plants as the machine moves through the crop, vision and AI distinguish weeds from cultivated plants, and a patented moving tool removes weeds within the row. The platform also records crop and field data for remote status monitoring and later analysis.
The operating agricultural-robot business has belonged to HH Agriculture Investments since June 2024, when it acquired the assets through a Swedish subsidiary after product trials in the Netherlands. Former owner Ekobot AB retained only its listed-company functions and subsequently became Newlist. Homburg, part of the buyer's distribution group, continues the Ekobot technology as a precision-farming product rather than the former public company continuing as the robot manufacturer.
