Ekobot's WEAI field robot performs autonomous mechanical weeding for vegetable growers. Cameras capture plants as the machine moves through the crop, vision and AI distinguish weeds from cultivated plants, and a patented moving tool removes weeds within the row. The platform also records crop and field data for remote status monitoring and later analysis.
The operating agricultural-robot business has belonged to HH Agriculture Investments since June 2024, when it acquired the assets through a Swedish subsidiary after product trials in the Netherlands. Former owner Ekobot AB retained only its listed-company functions and subsequently became Newlist. Homburg, part of the buyer's distribution group, continues the Ekobot technology as a precision-farming product rather than the former public company continuing as the robot manufacturer.

Homburg took over Ekobot, with Ekobot continuing as a software-development provider for agriculture. Ekobot had been listed on Nasdaq First North before the acquisition. Homburg said Ekobot would support Homburg SmartFarming and external agriculture partners.
