About Civitanavi Systems
Civitanavi Systems develops inertial measurement units, attitude and heading reference systems, inertial navigation units and georeferencing equipment around proprietary fibre-optic gyroscope and MEMS technology. Products are configured for navigation, stabilisation and pointing where satellite signals are unavailable, degraded or insufficiently precise, including airborne, land, marine and industrial platforms.
The company controls sensor design, calibration, algorithms and production, allowing systems to be adapted for size, weight, power, environmental and export requirements. Its equipment supports flight control, antenna and payload stabilisation, surveying and autonomous navigation, with both standard units and customer-specific engineering programmes. Honeywell completed its acquisition of Civitanavi in 2024; the Italian business now operates within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies and adds an ITAR-free European inertial product line to the parent company’s navigation portfolio.
