About Copper Robotics
Copper Robotics develops copper-rs, an open-source Rust runtime for autonomous machines. Robot applications are described statically and compiled into a data-oriented execution pipeline, reducing serialization and message-passing overhead in time-sensitive perception and control loops. A separate logging path records inputs and state without interrupting real-time work, enabling field behaviour to be reproduced on a developer workstation.
Deterministic replay is the central debugging model: identical recorded inputs are expected to produce identical outputs, allowing rare failures to be isolated and regression-tested. Version 0.15 extends this across multiple computers and microcontrollers, so a distributed robot or swarm can be replayed as one coherent system. The runtime also integrates learned models through frameworks from Candle to CUDA, while Copper Pro adds production tooling and engineering services around the open-source core.
