dSPACE connects virtual development to physical control-system testing through reusable models, scenarios and test definitions. Its SIMPHERA environment runs ECU software in simulation and supports transitions between software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop setups. Teams can carry test assets between these stages as software moves from a virtual controller to real electronic hardware.
Scenario-based testing varies parameters within a driving situation to generate many concrete cases, including unusual traffic behaviour. Cloud execution runs large sets of these simulations in parallel, while a shared web environment supports collaboration. Alongside real-time prototyping and hardware test equipment, this gives developers a way to exercise control functions repeatedly across development stages and operating scenarios.
