About Invictus Robotics
Invictus Robotics was founded in London in 2023 to automate physical work at height. Its AERAS platform combines a multirotor aircraft with a multi-axis arm and adaptive force control, allowing a probe to maintain contact with a structure despite rotor wash and environmental disturbance. The company has moved the concept from early surface-interaction demonstrations toward industrial nondestructive testing.
Interchangeable end effectors support ultrasonic inspection, corrosion mapping, wall-thickness measurement and weld assessment. Sensor waveforms are captured during flight and linked to defect maps and asset-health records, extending the output beyond imagery. Target assets include wind turbines, tanks, refineries, bridges, ships, offshore platforms and power infrastructure. Korthos tracks AERAS as an aerial manipulation and inspection system; commercial scale is still emerging and public fleet figures are not disclosed.
