About Looq AI
Founded in 2021 by computer-vision researchers Dominique Meyer and Shreyas Niradi, Looq operates as the trade name of LiMAR AI Inc. from San Diego. The company was formed around a practical constraint in infrastructure surveying: conventional laser scanning and fragmented field workflows can make repeat capture costly, slow and difficult to scale across large asset networks.
The qCam is a mobile multi-camera capture device with integrated survey-grade GNSS and onboard AI processing. Field data is processed through the Looq platform into metrically accurate, georeferenced point clouds, imagery and digital-twin outputs used for design, inspection, documentation and asset analysis. The platform is designed for human-operated capture rather than autonomous navigation, but it occupies a direct physical-AI infrastructure layer by converting real-world observations into machine-readable spatial records for downstream engineering and increasingly automated workflows.
