About Momentis Surgical
Momentis Surgical develops the Anovo Surgical System, a compact robotic platform for minimally invasive procedures. The architecture uses instrument arms with shoulder, elbow and wrist joints, a 13-pound robotic control unit mounted at the operating table and an open console that preserves direct communication between the surgeon and operating-room team.
The US Food and Drug Administration granted De Novo marketing authorization in February 2021 for specified single-site, natural-orifice laparoscopic-assisted transvaginal benign procedures in adults. Momentis subsequently placed systems with US hospitals, including an acquisition by HCA Florida Northwest Hospital announced in October 2022. Supported procedures remain limited to the authorized indications and trained clinical use.
