About Opentrons
Opentrons develops open laboratory automation for life-science research and diagnostics. Its benchtop robots automate pipetting, sample preparation, PCR setup, genomics, proteomics and other liquid-handling workflows using modular decks, electronic pipettes and programmable protocols.
The OT-2 established a developer-accessible platform, while Flex expands capacity and adds automated labware movement and peripherals. Scientists build or reuse protocols through Python and graphical tools, integrating modules for temperature, magnetic separation and thermocycling. Opentrons manufactures the robots and supports laboratories with consumables, verified workflows, implementation and cloud software.
