About Phillips Corporation

Phillips approaches robot projects through the surrounding manufacturing process: tooling, programming, machine interfaces and operator training are designed together with the selected arm. Its CNC background is particularly relevant to machine-tending applications where the robot must coordinate with machining cycles and part staging.

The Robotics and OPTO teams support application design, commissioning and continued service. Universal Robots cobots form one supported hardware family within a wider manufacturing-technology business serving US industrial customers.

Timeline

Events

  • 2026-05-06 - Deployment - Phillips Robotics enables lights-out CNC tending at WTTI

The system automated loading and unloading on an existing Haas lathe without requiring a facility expansion. WTTI replaced a four-hour runtime ceiling with continuous production that no longer required an operator stationed at the machine. The deployment increased uptime and output consistency while reducing bottlenecks, lead times and dependence on temporary labour.
