About Spintrol
Spintrol integrates the digital and analogue functions needed to control an electric motor. Its microcontrollers and system-on-chips combine Arm processing cores with fast analogue-to-digital conversion, programmable gain amplifiers, PWM generation, communications and motor-control peripherals. Driver-integrated products add gate-drive or power stages, reducing the number of separate components required around a brushless or permanent-magnet motor.
Equipment manufacturers connect current, position and temperature sensing to the chip and implement field-oriented control, speed regulation or torque loops in firmware. Spintrol’s range covers small fans and pumps through higher-performance industrial and robotic motion, with CAN, FDCAN and other interfaces available for distributed systems. The company was founded in 2014 by a team originating from Fairchild Semiconductor and supplies both chips and supporting development tools.
