About Steinmetz
Steinmetz develops high-voltage motor controllers for electric vehicles, aircraft and industrial machinery. Its MC0 platform uses silicon-carbide power electronics, liquid cooling and integrated control hardware to regulate permanent-magnet motors across systems ranging from smaller auxiliary drives to 500-kilowatt propulsion applications.
The controllers support encoder, resolver and sensorless feedback, alongside CAN, LIN and Ethernet communications. Open firmware, automated motor tuning and configurable control parameters allow engineering teams to adapt the same hardware family to different motors and vehicles. Steinmetz manufactures in the United States; the MC0-500 is commercially available, with lower-power models entering shipment through 2026.
