About Tevel
Tevel develops tethered flying autonomous robots that harvest fruit in commercial orchards. Computer vision identifies fruit and evaluates ripeness, while a lightweight airborne unit positions a specialised end effector within the tree canopy and gently detaches selected produce.
Multiple robots connect by power and data tethers to a mobile ground platform that follows orchard rows and collects picked fruit. The architecture gives each flyer access to different heights and angles while avoiding the short endurance of battery-only drones. Tevel combines hardware, AI and harvest-management data for apple and other orchard operations, with deployments configured around crop variety, tree structure and picking season.
