XYZ is a Seoul robotics company building service robots and embodied-AI development systems for commercial and everyday environments. Its portfolio spans the DEUX semi-humanoid platform, Baris Brew café automation, Storagy service robots and software for training and operating robotic systems.
Founded in 2019 as Lounge Lab and later renamed XYZ, the company combines complete service-robot deployments with internally developed manipulation hardware. The DEUX three-finger hand extends that stack into a standalone Physical AI development platform with tactile sensing, RGB vision, onboard computing and EtherCAT connectivity.

The course opened on October 12 at CF Tower in Seongsu, Seoul. XYZ’s BrainX workflow supports data collection, processing, model training and execution on real robots. The programme concerns education and development; the announcement does not describe an industrial operating fleet.

DEUX infers contact force from motor current rather than relying on separate joint torque sensors. Local motor-side control is intended to reduce communication-delay effects during physical contact and manipulation. XYZ is still developing dynamic impedance control that varies joint stiffness across approach, contact and manipulation phases.

XYZ reported that its BrainX behavior-intelligence platform reduced a robot clothing-folding task from about 50 seconds to 25 seconds. The 2× execution-speed test retained a 96% success rate, compared with 100% at the original speed. The demonstration combined asynchronous inference, low-sampling acceleration, smoothing filters and adaptive velocity control on a Galaxy R1 Pro Lite robot.

Seven actuators provide seven degrees of freedom across the three-finger design. The hand combines tactile sensing and RGB vision with onboard Raspberry Pi 5 processing and EtherCAT connectivity. It can operate on the DEUX robot or separately as a robot-learning and Physical AI development platform.
