BOCCO emo is designed for people who may not use a smartphone, including children and older users. It exchanges messages with a companion app, speaks reminders and can connect patients with staff in hospitals or care homes.
Its radar detects whether someone passes nearby or stands in front of the device, allowing the robot to look up, call out or listen for interaction. The sensor sits behind the enclosure, preserving the product's compact appearance while adding presence-aware behaviour.

- 2026-10-16 - Product Launch - Ludens AI opens INU public crowdfunding presales in Japan
The campaign runs through November 29; shipments are planned from around February 2027. INU responds through touch, expressive eyes, sounds and movement, using millimetre-wave presence sensing without a camera. Visitors can try the robot at Futako-Tamagawa Tsutaya Electrics’ GREEN FUNDING exhibition through December 14.

Dual seven-joint arms, an articulated torso and a holonomic base provide up to 1.9 meters of vertical reach; the company advertised an eight-to-twelve-week path from site visit to operation.
