Torobo Hand

About

About Torobo Hand

Torobo Hand is a human-sized five-finger hand with 12 actuated and four coupled joints. Backdrivable torque-controlled actuators allow each finger to conform around unfamiliar objects, while fingertip forces reach approximately ten newtons.

The hand contains 197 pressure-sensing points across the fingers, thumb and palm and records joint position, torque and tactile information. ROS software provides visualisation, trajectory control and logging, with MuJoCo and Isaac Sim models available for learning workflows. Tokyo Robotics supports integration with Torobo and third-party arms.
