Aero Hand Open

About

About Aero Hand Open

Aero Hand Open uses seven motors and routed tendons to actuate a lightweight set of underactuated fingers. Passive joint response lets the printed mechanism conform to objects without requiring an individually commanded actuator at every joint. The assembly uses readily available motors, fasteners and electronics so research teams can build the device with ordinary fabrication resources.

TetherIA releases the CAD, bill of materials, build guidance and control software for reproduction and modification. Laboratories can change printed parts, repair the mechanism or adapt the interface for a compatible arm. The design targets manipulation, teleoperation and robot-learning experiments where rapid iteration and low-cost access are central requirements.
