About Allegro Hand V5 Plus
Allegro Hand V5 Plus uses four articulated fingers and 16 controlled joints to reproduce a broad range of enveloping, fingertip and precision grasps. Omnidirectional tactile sensors wrap around the fingertip segments and measure contact pressure across their surfaces. These signals allow manipulation software to detect contact location, adjust grip and respond to small pressure changes during object handling.
The hand communicates through CAN and is supplied with control software and development interfaces for integration with robot arms and humanoid platforms. Researchers use it for teleoperation, reinforcement learning, in-hand manipulation and tactile-policy development. Wonik Robotics offers left- and right-hand configurations as part of the commercial Allegro Hand research platform.
