Copperhead

About

About Copperhead

Copperhead is Anduril's announced family of high-speed autonomous underwater vehicles designed to launch from larger autonomous host platforms. The vehicles share a modular architecture for undersea sensing, communications, survey and defence payloads. Copperhead-100 has a 12.75-inch diameter, while Copperhead-500 uses a 21-inch body. Anduril specifies speeds above 30 knots and presents the family as an expendable complement to reusable host vehicles, not a crewed or independently based submarine.

The product line separates payload-carrying and missionised variants. Copperhead-100 and Copperhead-500 can carry sensing, communications, magnetometer or chemical-detection payloads; the corresponding 100M and 500M designations identify variants configured with a warhead. Anduril introduced the family as part of its Dive-LD and Dive-XL undersea ecosystem. Copperhead remains at announced maturity, so the published configuration describes the planned family and integration model; it is not a broadly fielded commercial vehicle.
