About DR01

DR01 is Deep Robotics' humanoid research platform for developing embodied intelligence through learning, perception and motion control. Its bipedal body is designed to move through uneven terrain while maintaining balance under changing ground conditions and external disturbances. The platform brings the company's legged-robot control work into a complete humanoid embodiment.

Deep Robotics equips DR01 with its J60 lightweight joints and J100 high-torque joints. The control architecture combines sensing and locomotion so the robot can adapt its movements to terrain, including steps and slopes. AI and data-based training are used to develop new behaviours. DR01 remains a separately named research and development platform alongside the later DR02, with its own hardware identity and terrain-testing programme.

Timeline

  • Deep Robotics debuts DR01 at the 2024 World Robot Conference

2024-08-26 - Product Launch - The physical demonstration included climbing stairs and walking over steel bars. DR01 maintained balance and continued walking after pushes, pulls and forces applied from behind. The robot uses Deep Robotics' J60 lightweight joints and J100 high-power joints.
