About REAV-60

HydroSurv’s REAV-60 is a 5.7-metre battery-hybrid USV for hydrographic, geophysical and subsea inspection work. Demountable demi-hulls and interchangeable payload skids let one aluminium catamaran carry survey packages, towing equipment or an inspection ROV and its umbilical. The deck supports 200 kilograms of payload and the vessel reaches 6.5 knots.

The powertrain combines a 24-kilowatt-hour battery, two eight-kilowatt generators and twin steerable eight-kilowatt rim-driven pod drives. A 380-litre fuel capacity supports extended self-transiting campaigns, while the electric propulsion can manoeuvre precisely around towed or deployed instruments. The navigation and situational-awareness system is designed for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operation, using managed 2.4/5 GHz radio, cellular and Starlink connections as mission coverage allows.

    2026-08-24 - Deployment - The 5.7 m battery-hybrid vessel was commissioned in August for vessel-mounted survey equipment. Towed-system integration was planned by the end of 2026, with ROV deployment capability targeted for Q1 2027.

  • HydroSurv and BeyonC integrate REAV-60 with Syncro ROV

    2026-05-26 - Partnership - HydroSurv and BeyonC finalized an agreement to deliver a REAV-60 USV configured to deploy and operate BeyonC's Syncro pipeline survey ROV. The companies developed a launch and recovery system to integrate Syncro into the REAV-60 platform. The system targets shallow-water subsea cable and pipeline survey with reduced reliance on crewed vessels.
