JAKA π

About

About JAKA π

JAKA π distributes 27 active axes across its head, waist, arms and legs to support bipedal movement, gestures and upper-body interaction. EtherCAT links the joint-control system, while an Intel Core Ultra processor and 64 GB of memory provide local computing for perception, dialogue and application software. Voice hardware, a handheld controller and mobile application provide several operating interfaces.

The robot is aimed at university teaching, commercial reception, entertainment and companion-care development. JAKA supports secondary development so customers can build motion routines, interaction software and application-specific behaviours on the platform. The compact body and three-kilogram carrying capacity suit demonstrations and indoor service workflows that do not require industrial-scale manipulation loads.
