Mobile Energy Storage Assembly System
About
About Mobile Energy Storage Assembly System
JR Automation's Mobile Energy Storage Assembly System combines cell testing, module assembly and palletising across 15 operational cells. The layout accommodates the customer's existing building pillars and beams, with four operators supporting the automated sequence. The delivered line achieved the specified 36.98-second module cycle.
Equipment development ran alongside changes to the energy-storage product itself. JR's engineering consulting team worked with the manufacturer to improve manufacturability, while teams in Detroit, Singapore and Utah contributed testing, module-building, assembly and palletising expertise. This allowed the product geometry and production process to be developed together as the workflow moved from primarily manual assembly to automated module manufacture.
