SEE3 System

About

About SEE3 System

JR Automation's SEE3 system uses airlocks and a nitrogen-filled enclosure to manufacture contact lenses under controlled conditions. Robots load mould halves onto carriers, which enter through an evacuated and nitrogen-backfilled airlock. Inside, pick-and-place equipment moves base-curve carriers to dispensing heads that fill 16 moulds before front-curve carriers close against them.

The sequence then advances through ultraviolet curing, carrier transfer and oven curing, followed by operator removal of the finished lenses. Maintenance access is arranged outside the controlled environment. JR Automation reports that oxygen levels reached 50 parts per million during operation, exceeding the customer's requirement of 200 parts per million or less while maintaining the specified cleanliness.
