High Throughput Drug Discovery Screening System

About

About High Throughput Drug Discovery Screening System

JR Automation's High Throughput Drug Discovery Screening System distributes laboratory work across three industrial robots. One retrieves compounds and performs hit-picking; another manages incubation, dispensing, washing and plate transfer; the third monitors crystal growth. This division services 18 peripherals while coordinating multiple asynchronous processes.

The system tracks plates and processes, transfers plates between work areas and manages removal and storage of heavy stainless-steel lids. An inventory-discovery mode identifies randomly loaded plates so they can enter the managed workflow. These handling and tracking functions connect compound libraries, assay preparation and observation, supporting the installation's reported capacity of 200,000 assays per day.
