About

About Gemini 335Lg

Orbbec Gemini 335Lg is a long-baseline active and passive stereo depth camera for robots that need a secured, high-bandwidth sensor connection. It adds a GMSL2 serializer and FAKRA connector to the Gemini 335L architecture while retaining USB Type-C and the same Orbbec SDK. The camera supports depth sensing from 0.17 metres to beyond 20 metres, global-shutter depth and colour streams, an IMU and hardware synchronization.

The 124-by-29-by-36-millimetre enclosure weighs 164 grams and carries an IP65 rating when used with compliant cables. GMSL2 supports links up to 15 metres, bandwidth up to 6 Gbps and simultaneous connection of as many as eight cameras to a host platform. Orbbec positions the model for AMRs and robot arms exposed to vibration, uneven terrain or electromagnetic interference.

  • Orbbec and Connect Tech integrate GMSL depth camera with Jetson system

2025-05-14 - Partnership - Connect Tech’s Anvil embedded system adds native support for Orbbec’s Gemini 335Lg GMSL/FAKRA depth camera, linking rugged long-cable vision with Jetson edge compute. The joint hardware and camera-software configuration is aimed at robotics, autonomous machines, industrial automation and smart-agriculture systems that need dependable stereo-vision connectivity. The companies say the integration reduces application-development time and expands camera and compute choices for system integrators, while a planned Automate demo was to show obstacle detection and navigation for a large AMR.

  • Orbbec and Advantech integrate Gemini 335Lg vision stack for AMRs

2024-10-21 - Capability - The Gemini 335Lg adds GMSL2 and FAKRA connectors plus driver support for NVIDIA Jetson platforms, extending Orbbec’s depth-and-RGB camera integration. Advantech’s MIC-733-AO supports up to four Orbbec 3D cameras through GMSL2 and delivers up to 275 TOPS on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform. The pre-integrated stack supports synchronized multi-camera perception for indoor and outdoor AMRs, delivery robots and robotic arms, and was made available after the announcement.
