SHARK4

About

About SHARK4

SHARK4 is a tethered modular crawler for pressurised pipelines, submerged tunnels and confined industrial infrastructure. Its propulsion and guidance system moves through water-filled or difficult-access assets while maintaining live power, communications and control through the tether. Pipein's current product page documents a physical test with Edison in a water-filled hydropower asset.

Mission payloads include HD cameras, ultrasonic wall-thickness testing, profiling sonar, 3D LiDAR, hydrophones and ground-penetrating radar. Outputs can combine georeferenced video, corrosion measurements, point clouds, digital asset models and engineering inspection reports. The previous profile image was an 800 × 800 animated schematic; it has been replaced with the current official page's clear product photograph.
