qb SoftClaw

About

About qb SoftClaw

qb SoftClaw is qbrobotics' compact variable-stiffness gripper for pick-and-place, machine tending, assembly, inspection and testing. Its elastic actuation lets operators select softer or firmer grasp behaviour without contact sensors in the fingers.

The 0.86 kg gripper publishes a 75 N maximum grasp force, 5 kg maximum payload and 0.5-second closing time. It uses interchangeable fingers, RS485 communication and ROS support, with an ISO 9409-1 mechanical interface for robot-arm integration.
