About RH8D
RH8D uses eight onboard actuators to control 19 articulated degrees of freedom across the fingers, thumb and spherical wrist. Three-segment fingers and a fully opposable thumb support power, precision and lateral grasp patterns within a hand weighing approximately 620 grams.
The hand can hold roughly 750 grams to one kilogram in three-dimensional grasps and withstand higher vertical pulling loads. Optional tactile fingertip sensing and a palm time-of-flight sensor add contact and proximity information for teleoperation, humanoid manipulation and robot-learning experiments.
