RMP Lite 220

Segway RMP Lite 220 is a two-wheel mobile robot base for delivery, inspection, cleaning and service-robot development. The 33-kilogram chassis measures 730 by 499 by 280 millimetres and carries up to 50 kilograms. It reaches three metres per second, has 69 millimetres of ground clearance and is rated IP65 for operation in dusty or wet environments.

A 1,152-watt-hour battery supports a stated range of up to 80 kilometres under the manufacturer’s test conditions. Developers can command the base through UART or CAN and use C/C++ and ROS tooling from a host computer. RMP Lite 220 supplies locomotion, power and low-level control interfaces; perception, manipulation and mission autonomy depend on the sensors, compute and software added by the integrator.
