Starship e-model

Starship’s e-model uses 12 cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, time-of-flight sensing and neural networks to navigate pavements and campus routes. Its locked cargo compartment carries food, groceries and industrial supplies and opens through the customer application at the delivery point.

The robot operates at Level 4 autonomy and Starship describes fleet operation as 99 percent autonomous, with remote assistance available for unusual conditions. As of the current company site, Starship reports nine million completed deliveries, 12 million miles driven and operation across more than 270 cities, campuses and industrial sites. Those totals describe the wider current Starship fleet rather than one separately disclosed e-model cohort.
